Sekilas Tentang PENDIDIKAN DOKTER GIGI
SEJARAH
History began in 1968. The meeting
between the TNI-AL team led by drg. Liem Tjing Kiat with drg Halima and
Sikati faced the Unhas Chancellor, Lt. Col. Dr. M. Nasir Said, SH to
discuss the possibility of opening a Dental Education at Hasanuddin
University. The signing of the cooperation agreement between Hasanuddin
University and the Indonesian Navy, on January 23, 1969
Based on the Decree of the Chancellor of
Hasanuddin University dated January 1, 1969, the Yos Sudarso Dental
Institute became the Department of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine,
Hasanuddin University and based on the Decree of the Minister of
Education and Culture No. 0226/1970 dated 27 July 1970. On 8 June 1974
the second cooperation agreement was signed between Hasanuddin
University and the Indonesian Navy. The Department of Dentistry, Faculty
of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, later changed to the Department of
Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University.
Based on the Decree of the Chancellor of
Unhas No. 91/0/02/83 dated February 22, 1983, and the Decree of the
Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No.
0563/0/1983 dated December 8, 1983, FKG UNHAS was established as a
separate faculty within the UNHAS environment. The Faculty of Dentistry,
Hasanuddin University is led by a number of Deans, namely

TUJUAN
- Producing qualified, professional and responsible Dentistry Personnel answer according to Maritime Character Scholar Persons.
- Building the character of researchers
for lecturers and students as well as the cooperation of the two by
providing maximum support for every participation in the competition
scientific work.
- Creating an effective and efficient faculty management.
Dentist education program begins
with a meeting between drg. Liem Tjing Kiat and drg. Halima Dg. Sikati
from the Indonesian Navy’s Institute of Dentistry and the Chancellor of
Hasanuddin University, Lt. Col. M. Nasir, SH to discuss the possibility
of opening a Dental Education at Hasanuddin University in 1968.
The signing of the cooperation between Hasanuddin University and the
TNI-AL was carried out in January 1969. Based on the Decree of the
Chancellor of Hasanuddin University on January 1, 1969, the Dental
Institute became the Department of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine,
Hasanuddin University and the Decree of the Minister of Education and
Culture No. 0226/1970 dated 27 July 1970. Based on the Chancellor’s
Decree No. 91/0/02/83 dated 22 February 1983 and the Decree of the
Minister of Education and Culture No. 0563 dated 8 December 1983.
